CPD Course: Brunel Bridge Inspection
CPD Course: Brunel Bridge Inspection
The 6-day bridge inspection course provides training opportunities for the LANTRA Bridge Inspection Certification scheme. It covers the wide-ranging processes associated with bridge inspections within the overall asset management framework for highway structures. Attendance on the course will help delegates to achieve the level of competence required to be assessed as bridge inspector or senior bridge inspector. It will also be of value to bridge managers and other technical staff who have the responsibility of managing highway structures. The course can be attended on the individual days relevant for concrete, metallic and masonry bridges or as a whole. Day 3 will be a Field Day to develop hands-on skills in inspecting a wide range of bridge types. Course content: Day 1 – Asset management and bridge inspection process Day 2 – Structural behaviour, structural elements, causes of defects Day 3 – Field Day Day 4 – Concrete bridges Day 5 – Metallic bridges Day 6 – Masonry bridges CPD certificates are be provided for each individual day by Brunel University.
