Matiere is a privately owned company established in 1932 in France. The primary business of Matiere is split into 2 sectors: 1. Pre-cast concrete structures e.g. cut and cover tunnels. Operating a system of licence holders worldwide, Matiere’s pre-cast concrete technology is used in over 25 countries and thousands of structures have been installed over 30 years. 2. Steel bridge design, fabrication and installation. Matiere design and manufacture steel bridges for various applications and markets. This includes permanent structures such as beam and box-girder bridges for highways and bespoke footbridges. Matiere design and manufacture modular bridges including the Matiere Panel Bridge, Unibridge modular bridge system and Warren truss bridges. Matiere has Field Service Representatives who are experienced in supervising bridge builds throughout the world and can undertake training at the customers preferred location. Matiere also offer a full design and customer support service, can undertake bridge surveys and substructure design upon receipt of soils investigation data. Using modern production facilities all our bridge components are manufactured in accordance with the appropriate Euro Norm standards EN 1090. Matiere operate a quality management system that provides traceability of the main structural components. Matiere has 3 steel factories and 2 concrete factories in France . Also within the Matiere group of companies is a steel factory in Belgium called MBB (Metallic Bridges of Belgium).
