J & D Pierce are a well established structural steelwork fabricator and erectors having been established for over 45 years and still a family run firm. We pride ourselves in our approach to inward investment to provide a comprehensive service from early conception and design, through costing, fabrication, transportation, site logistics, surface treatment and installation. Our existing core facility at Glengarnock is capable of producing 1000te per week and has state of the art robotic fabrication capability. The inward investment approach is further enhanced with the most recent acquisition. J & D Pierce have recently acquired a new facility in East Kilbride, in which we have made major investment. .J & D Pierce have not only acquired the new facility but also an experienced team with extensive bridging experience including design, fabrication and installation expertise. At the new facility we have large fabrication capability over three bays each of which have 150te lifting capability and the ability to deliver loads in excess of 50m. We already have all the accreditations needed to supply, fabricate, surface treat, and install all types of bridges including large plate girders and box girders and have registration to Execution Class 4. We have 18,700m2 of factory preparation and fabrication area and 14 acres of yard space. We have the ability to deliver and undertake various forms of bridge types including but not limited to, plate girders, box girders, truss bridges, moving bridges cable stayed and suspension bridges with all forms of installation methods such as crane installs, launch/slide systems and SPMT’s.
