MAPESHIELD E 25

Adhesive zinc plates applied directly on the surface of structures for galvanic cathodic protection against the corrosion of reinforcement rods in concrete. Mapeshield E 25 comprises a 99.9% pure zinc plate with a thickness of 250 µm. The zinc sheet is easy to apply on the surface of the structure thanks to the adhesive gel, which is also an excellent ionic conductor. The anodes are applied on structures where corrosion is already present or where corrosion could be easily formed. They prevent the formation of newly-formed corrosion, and reduce/block corrosion phenomenon already under way. The degree of protection depends on the area of the surface covered by the anodes and the density of the reinforcement in the structure. Once applied on the structure, in order to make the system function correctly, they must be connected to the reinforcement rods using the metal connectors. Once installed, the zinc contained in the anodes is consumed thanks to the difference in electric potential between the two metals to keep the reinforcement rods clean and protected over the years. Packaging wooden boxes with 4 rolls 25 metres long and 25 cm wide.

MAPESHIELD I

Pure zinc anodes dressed with a special conductive paste, for galvanic cathodic protection against corrosion of reinforcement rods in new structures and in structures requiring repair. Mapeshield I anodes are composed of a zinc core coated with special activating paste which maintains their efficiency over the years. The anodes are applied in structures where corrosion is already present or where corrosion could be easily formed. They prevent the formation of newly-formed corrosion and reduce/block corrosion phenomenon already under way. The degree of protection depends on the number of anodes applied and the density of the reinforcement in the structure. Thanks to the metallic connections, the anodes may be installed easily and quickly on the reinforcement rods. Once installed, the zinc contained in the anodes is consumed thanks to the difference in electric potential between the two metals to keep the reinforcement rods clean and protected over the years. MAPEGROUT GUNITE FSD

One-component, ready-to-use, fibre-reinforced, cementitious mortar, applied using wet or dry application spraying technique with extra fast hardening.

PLANITOP HPC

Two-component ultra high performance shrinkage-compensated free-flowing high ductility fibre-reinforced cementitious mortar with stiff steel fibres.

PLANITOP SMOOTH & REPAIR

Quick-setting, fibre-reinforced, compensated-shrinkage, thixotropic cementitious mortar for repairing and smoothing concrete, applied in various thicknesses of from 3 to 40 mm in a single layer.

MAPEGROUT HI-FLOW

Controlled-shrinkage fibre-reinforced fluid grout for concrete repair. Use Mapegrout Hi-Flow for all concrete repairs that require the use of fluid mortars, such as reinforced concrete beams and columns and floors. Made from cement binders, graded aggregate, special additives and synthetic fibres, Mapegrout Hi-Flow is prepared by mixing a 25 kg bag with 3.6-4 litres of water, depending on the consistency required. The mix is poured into sealed formwork. Care must be taken to let air escape in order to prevent air-bubbles. Thicknesses up to 2 cm can be repaired with Mapegrout Hi-Flow. For greater thicknesses, the addition of appropriately graded aggregate is recommended. Consumption 20 kg/m2 per cm of thickness. Packaging 25 kg bags.

Reading Bridge - Showcase

A range of Mapei products have been extensively utilised in the strengthening and refurbishment of Reading Bridge. The open spandrel arch structure which supports a three lane highway and two footways over the River Thames in Reading has served the town for more than 90 years. Strengthening of the bridge required bonding carbon fibre reinforcement to the deck, thickening the R.C. abutment walls, deck waterproofing and protective coating to the structure, all of which Mapei were able to assist with their products.
